Alitus Women’s Circles
for rest, reflection, and deep connection
Alitus Circles are intimate, in-person women’s circles in Brisbane, offering a space for relational healing, reflection, and embodied connection. Each circle is carefully curated and facilitated by Emily to support women to return to a sense of belonging — within themselves and alongside others.
Weaving together nervous system science, reverence for the body’s wisdom, and simple ritual, Circle becomes a space where what is already living within you can gently emerge and be met.
BRISBANE, IN-PERSON“When women gather in circle, something ancient wakes up”
Women have gathered in circles for as long as there have been women: to mark thresholds, to share stories, to grieve, to celebrate, to remember who they are together. These circles are for women who feel the quiet pull toward connection - especially if you’ve been feeling alone, overwhelmed, or disconnected from yourself.
A place that reminds you of your sacred worth
Perhaps there is a loneliness to your life that you can’t quite shake. A sense that something is missing, not on the material level, but deeper. On the level of your heart, your soul. You have begun to sense a longing to gather, to commune, to connect.
To sit with other women without having to explain yourself. To hold and be held in spaces where you have the choice to speak or not speak, to witness and be witnessed. Knowing that you belong there.
If you’ve found your way here, something in you may recognise this longing.
The truth
You have been raised in a culture that pits women against one another; a culture that has torn us apart and keeps us separate. And so, each of us struggle onwards alone, too exhausted to know where to take the grief we feel of our lost sisterhood.
And yet, the longing to come together in Circle lives within each of us, as an intuitive knowing that when we gather, we are stronger. When we sit together in Circle, there is an energetic resonance that touches the soul, and reignites the flame of empowerment.
Modern life has pulled women away from each other and from ourselves - leaving many feeling isolated, overwhelmed, and disconnected despite being constantly surrounded by others.
Circle offers a way back.
Why I became a women’s circle facilitator here in Brisbane
I moved to Australia from Scotland in 2014. It was a messy, somewhat spontaneous transition that left me stranded on the other side of the world from my home country, without funds, friends, or any sense of a future. The years that followed were the loneliest of my life… there were some days I thought the ache of isolation might actually break me.
12 years later, I know intimately the healing power of relationship. In my work as a somatic nutrition therapist, I sit beside women navigating food, body, illness, shame and over and over again I witness the healing power of nervous system tethering to nervous system. The energetic resonance of the shared space is the source of healing, of reclamation, of empowerment. And in the years I have sat in this space, I have witnessed a knowing arise within me: as women we need space to gather again. Where the wisdom that emerges from our lived experience can weave with the wisdom of our sisters in shared space.

Many women come to circle seeking connection, nervous system regulation, and a space to slow down, and over time, they begin to notice:
a deeper sense of belonging / increased trust in their own inner signals / less urgency to have it ‘all figured out’ / clarity around boundaries, needs and truth / relief in being seen without explanation

INNER SEASONS: RECLAIM THE POWER OF YOUR CYCLEdates // 5 Mar. 02 Apr. 07 May. 04 Jun.location // Soul Space Brisbane, Newmarket QLD 4051A four-month Women’s Circle journey exploring the inner seasons of the menstrual arc. Gathered in Circle, we gently move through reflection, remembrance, and reconnection with the changing phases of the menstrual cycle and the rhythms they invite us to notice within ourselves. Whether you are new to menstruation or have been cycling for decades, whether you are using hormonal contraception, transitioning away from it, or simply curious about cyclical living, this series offers a supportive space to deepen your relationship with your body at your own pace. Together, we explore the quiet wisdom of our inner rhythms, creating space for greater self-understanding, compassion, and connection.
-
An exploration of what it has meant, historically and culturally, to live in a female body, and the stories and beliefs about menstruation and womanhood that have been passed down through generations. This Circle gently invites us to name and reflect upon inherited narratives surrounding women’s bodies, including experiences of misunderstanding, suppression, and separation, while creating space for reconnection with collective wisdom and shared humanity.
-
An introduction to the physiology of the menstrual cycle and its four phases, exploring how shifting hormones can influence energy, mood, cognition, and bodily experience. Together we will gently explore cycle charting as a tool for deepening awareness of your unique rhythms. Lunar cycles and seasonal archetypes will also be woven throughout, offering inclusive pathways for women who may not currently resonate with a reproductive menstrual cycle.
-
An exploration of menstrual archetypes - such as maiden, enchantress, wild woman, and wise woman - and how these symbolic energies can illuminate different aspects of self-expression across our cycles and life stages. Through creative reflection and art, we will explore how these archetypes may uniquely live within each of us, honouring the many ways women experience and interpret their inner seasons.
-
A closing Circle devoted to integrating what has been discovered throughout our time together. We will explore gentle ways of weaving rhythm, ritual, and self-attunement into everyday life, cultivating a more sustainable and connected way of living that honours our cyclical and seasonal nature. Together we will reflect on how our inner rhythms mirror those of the natural world, supporting a renewed sense of belonging and personal sovereignty.
