TRAUMA-INFORMED SOMATIC NUTRITION THERAPY IN BRISBANE & AUSTRALIA-WIDE
for the tender, the overwhelmed, the sensitive women who have lost their spark and are longing to come home to themselves
You Carry a Depth Noone Sees
Youโve been holding it all for a long time, functioning on the outside while something inside feels like itโs slowly falling apart. Youโve learned to hide the parts of you that felt too much: masking, shrinking, striving, controlling; showing up for others even in the moments when what you really needed was someone to show up for you.
Youโve tried everything, meal plans, therapy, โlogic,โ willpower, and still the patterns around food and body feel louder than they should. And somewhere along the way, you lost pieces of yourself youโre now ready to reclaim.
Alitus is the doorway back to those pieces.
Back to the parts of you who know, Iโm not supposed to live like this.
Ways to Work With Me
One-to-One Somatic Nutrition Therapy
Trauma-informed nutrition therapy for women navigating disordered eating, gut health symptoms, dysautonomia, and nervous system overwhelm.
This work integrates nutrition science, body-based awareness, and autonomic nervous system regulation, particularly when traditional approaches have left you feeling stuck.
Womenโs Circles
Relational, body-based group spaces for women longing for nourishment, regulation, and reconnection - with food, body, and self. An invitation to heal in community.
Womenโs Circles [Coming Soon] โ
Alitus is a slow, gentle, somatic approach to healing your relationship with food, by teaching you to listen to, not override, your body.
Why Traditional Support Never Reached You
Most approaches try to change what you do, behaviours, thoughts, patterns, asking you to override your body without ever understanding why it felt safer to rely on those behaviours in the first place. This focus on symptom eradication is โfixingโ, not healing.
When the world inside the body still feels terrifying, unsafe, or overwhelming, thought-based tools canโt reach the place the disorder lives. They canโt touch the part that binges because itโs the only time the body lets go. Or the part that restricts because itโs the only time life feels predictable. Or the part that tracks every gram or macro because numbers feel safer than emotions.
You see, these approaches miss a sacred truth: your relationship with food was never the enemy, but an adaptation, a protector that has been doing an impossible job in world that has felt too much.
Deep healing is not about forcing change. Itโs about creating a space that holds you, while you undergo the transformation to reclaim the life you can sense is possible - even if youโre not sure how to get there.
Hi, Iโm Emily.
A holistic dietitian who integrates nutrition science with nervous system and somatic care.
A career change out of teaching and into dietetics held the promise of helping me heal my relationship with foodโฆ but 2 degrees later, fully qualified to practice traditional dietetics, I still hadnโt healed, and I felt in-equipped to hold the depth of the souls I was sitting across from in my consults. Souls whose bodies had found ways to make the unbearable bearable, who were carrying a lifetime of pain and had nowhere to take it.
I had to reimagine the care I was providing. Alitus is that reimagining. And somewhere along the way, my own healing unfolded. Through somatics, nervous system care, and deep tending, I reclaimed what was always within me - my truth, my sensitivity, my story. I learned to hold the parts of me that had been working impossibly hard to hold everything together. And now I am here to hold yours.
My work is gentle, trauma-informed, and grounded in nervous system science. But most of all, itโs human.
